St. Julian Branch Selby II

Refined by Fire.
Rooted in Grace.

Julian Selby has spent more than thirty-four years building — not just structures, but lives. A proud third-generation contractor from Hoschton, Georgia, he has worked with his hands and his faith in equal measure, understanding that the most lasting things are built on solid foundations.

Ordained in 2008 by the Church of God in Christ, Julian serves as an executive pastor and intercessor. He has spent decades walking alongside people in their hardest seasons — praying for the sick, comforting the grieving, and believing God for what others cannot yet see.

But his most defining season was personal.

When his wife Nivia was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer, Julian's world changed overnight. What began as a hopeful new chapter — the dream of children, a home, a life together — became a long walk through a valley he never anticipated. He held her hand through hospital visits, sleepless nights, and prayers that felt like they fell into silence.

He held her as she passed.

What Julian discovered in that fire was not the absence of God, but the undeniable presence of grace. Today, Julian is joyfully married to his wife Cam. Together they lead Restoring Selby, walking alongside couples through every season of love — from the mountain peaks to the deepest valleys.

Marriage, Cancer & Grace

Marriage, Cancer
& Grace

"Faith is not the absence of fire, but the presence of grace within it."

When cancer invaded their marriage, it challenged everything Julian and Nivia believed about love, faith, and endurance. Marriage, Cancer, and Grace isn't a picture-perfect love story. It's a raw, unfiltered account of vows tested by fire.

Through countless hospital visits, sleepless nights, tears, and prayers that seemed to fall into silence, Julian came to understand that "in sickness and in health" is more than a promise. It's a daily act of surrender.

This memoir is a testament to the quiet power of grace that finds us in the shadows — when strength fades, faith wavers, and control slips away. For anyone facing illness, caregiving, or grief — this book is a reminder that divine love may not always spare us from the fire, but it will always meet us in it.
